OSCEOLA, Iowa — One person is dead and another is in critical condition following a shooting that Osceola police are investigating as an attempted murder-suicide.
Officers responded to a home on Lakeshore Drive in Osceola shortly after 6 a.m. Tuesday. When they arrived, officers found a husband and wife suffering from gunshot wounds.
The couple was transported to a local hospital. The husband was then taken to a Des Moines hospital, where he later died. His wife remains in critical condition.
Osceola police told Local 5 they are investigating the incident as an attempted murder-suicide, but declined to provide further details.
