DES MOINES – The two people involved in a car crash that slammed into a garage in Des Moines on Thursday have been named.
The driver killed in the crash is 18-year-old Kyaus Davenport, of Tama. 17-year-old Amaris Walker, also of Tama, was injured. She’s still in the hospital, but is expected to survive.
Des Moines police are still investigating the crash on East Sheridan that happened Thursday around 3:45 p.m. Speed is believed to have been a factor when the car jumped the curb and rammed into a nearby home.
