Security at Pella Corporation’s headquarters was tightened Tuesday morning due to a threat made against an employee.
“Earlier today Pella Corporation was limiting access to the campus after a threat was made against one team member,” the company said in a statement. “The Pella Police Department was notified and actively worked on the matter. The threat appears to involve individuals who know one another or may be related.”
The Pella Police Department received a call around 10:20 a.m., and the person of interest was located by Mahaska County law enforcement, where the threat was determined not credible.
Pella Corporation that there was no longer a threat shortly before Monday afternoon, and regular access to the campus was restored.
“We appreciate the understanding and cooperation of our team members whose schedules may have been affected,” the statement continued. “The safety and security of our Pella team members is our highest priority.”
