DES MOINES, Iowa — At least one person was injured and multiple lanes of traffic were impacted after a semi and passenger car crashed early Thursday morning, the Iowa State Patrol says.
The crash happened around 7 a.m. near the Douglas Avenue exit on I-80/35 in Urbandale, stalling eastbound traffic around the accident.
Sgt. Alex Dinkla with Iowa State Patrol told Local 5 a secondary crash occurred at the tail-end of the already-stopped traffic.
The left and middle lane remained closed as crews responded. They were reopened as of 9 a.m. on Thursday.
