BONDURANT – A tornado has touched down in Bondurant Thursday afternoon, closing streets and damaging houses.
The city says all of its emergency services are on scene, and utility crews are addressinga gas leak.
2nd St NE and NW is closed until further notice and those that travel on 2nd St. should try and find an alternative route to town.
Polk County Emergency Services are available at Bondurant Community Center for victims of the storm until further notice.
The city advises residents to stay home where you are safe. City Hall has lost electricity and phone lines are down.
The City of Bondurant will provide updates as information becomes available.
