DES MOINES – At least two tornados were confirmed in the central Iowa area Monday night.
The round of storms produced hail, brought down several power lines, and caused hundreds of people to go without power for several hours. The thunderstorms came in around 5 p.m. into the metro.
One tornado was confirmed to have touched down in Knoxville around 7:30 p.m. No report yet on how much damage it caused.
