A fort dodge traffic stop took an unexpected turn and caused quite a bit of damage along the way.
This all happening in Fort Dodge Wednesday around 5:30 PM.
During routine patrol, a Fort Dodge Poice Officer recognized 37-year-old Jeremy Altman driving around. Atlman had an active warrant for his arrest.
Atlman refused to stop and a pursuit ensued. While fleeing, Altman struck an unoccupied car parked on the side of the B&L Drive Thru, forcing the vehicle into the building and causing significant damage.
Altman then lost control and got stuck in a snow embankment. He took off running, but was arrested.
Altman is charged with parole violation for escape, eluding, interference with official acts and numerous traffic offenses. He will be in court Thursday morning.
