The Striders are kicking off the New Year with their traditional New Year’s Day Run and Potluck.
This morning’s event starts at 10 A.M. at the Lyons Park shelter house in Urbandale. The potluck kicking off at 11.
Runners will have their choice of distances from 3 to 6 miles.
Attendees are asked to bring kid-sized mittens, gloves, scarfs, and other winter clothing to be donated to the boys and girls clubs of central Iowa.
