Someone won $1 million from an Iowa Powerball ticket: Where was the ticket sold?

The ticket was the only one in the country to win a $1 million prize Monday.

WEBSTER CITY, Iowa — If you recently purchased a Powerball ticket in Webster City, today may be your lucky day.

A $1 million winning Powerball ticket for Monday's drawing was purchased at Fareway (942 Second St) in Webster City, the Iowa Lottery said in a press release. The ticket matched the first five numbers, but missed the Powerball.

The ticket was the only one in the country to win a $1 million prize Monday.

The $1 million winner must claim their prize at the Iowa Lottery headquarters in Clive. The prize must be claimed within 180 days of the drawing.

Monday's winning numbers were 29-42-44-51-54 and Powerball 12. The Power Play number was 2.

Since no one won the jackpot, the prize will climb to $185 million annuity, or $92.1 million in a lump sum. The next Powerball drawing will take place Wednesday.
