NFL reveals lineup of musicians performing at the Super Bowl

Reba McEntire, Post Malone and Andra Day will all perform before the game's kickoff on Feb. 11.

WASHINGTON — We now know all of the musical artists who will be performing at Super Bowl LVIII next month, with the NFL revealing the lineup for the national anthem, America the Beautiful and Lift Every Voice and Sing. 

In new social media posts, the NFL announced a star-studded lineup, and kept the tradition of having a country singer perform the national anthem for the fourth year running. 

Who is performing at the start of the Super Bowl?

The pregame lineup includes country singer Reba McEntire singing the Star Spangled Banner on Feb. 11. 

The 68-year-old McEntire, usually referred to as just Reba, is known as the "Queen of Country" for her career as a singer. Since the 1970s, she has sold more than 75 million albums worldwide.

Next up will be rapper Post Malone, singing America the Beautiful. 

Post Malone, the 28-year-old rapper from New York, has become one of the best-selling music artists in the world, selling more than 80 million albums since beginning his career in 2011. 

Rounding out the trio will be R&B singer Andra Day, performing Lift Every Voice and Sing. 

Andra Day is the stage name of 39-year-old Cassandra Batie. Day released her first album in 2015, and has steadily racked up awards and prestige for her work as both a musician and an actor. 

Who is performing at the Super Bowl Halftime Show?

R&B icon Usher will headline the Apple Music Halftime Show this year, performing for more than 100 million viewers during one of the most-watched television events of the year. 

The halftime show itself is one of the biggest musical events in the world, with about 1 out of every 3 Americans tuning in. 

Usher will be performing in celebration of the 30th anniversary of his debut, self-titled album in 1994. "Usher" put the singer on the charts with hits like "You Make Me Wanna..." and "Pop Ya Collar." 

Apple Music, the largest sponsor for the event, hinted in a teaser trailer that some other famous faces could be joining Usher on stage. LeBron James, Colombian rapper J Balvin and K-pop singer Jungkook 

Who performed at last year's Super Bowl? 

Super Bowl 2023 saw Rihanna performing at the halftime show, setting a new record for the most-watched performance in the event's history with 121 million viewers. 

The national anthem was performed last year by country superstar Chris Stapleton. He was joined by Abbott Elementary star and Broadway singer Sheryl Lee Ralph performing "Lift Every Voice and Sing," and singer Babyface giving a rendition of "America the Beautiful."
