CHICAGO — Tuesday night's celebratory roll call vote at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago turned into a boisterous affair as delegates pledged support for Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz

Each delegation announced their votes to a song representing their state.

What was Iowa's song at the 2024 Democratic National Convention?

The Iowa delegation announced its vote for the Harris-Walz ticket to the tune of "Celebration" by Kool and The Gang.

The upbeat song is a mainstay at weddings and other big events, but doesn't have any real Iowa connection. The band actually hails from New Jersey.

Unlike Iowa, some states chose more obvious songs: Alabama kicked off the roll call with "Sweet Home Alabama" by Lynyrd Skynyrd, the New York delegation went with "Empire State of Mind" by Jay-Z featuring Alicia Keys and Texas picked Beyoncé's "TEXAS HOLD 'EM".

Other delegations chose songs by famous musicians with connections to their states. Washington chose "Can't Hold Us" by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, both of whom hail from the state. Similarly, Hawaii's delegation was represented by Hawaii native Bruno Mars' "24K Magic."
