DES MOINES – Mollie Tibbetts has been missing for more than three weeks now, and on Friday, her family went to the Iowa State Fair to spread her message and hand out fliers.
Tibbetts is a 20-year-old University of Iowa student from Brooklyn who was last seen on a run on July 18. Her father, Rob Tibbetts, has been going around to raise awareness about his daughter.
“You know, it’s a real Iowa kind of thing,” said Tibbetts. “And you can sort of feel the Iowa character here. People are genuinely compassionate and emotional over Mollie’s disappearance and want her to come back. So if you can help spread the word a little bit.”
While Tibbetts walked around the fair, he received a lot of prayers and well wishes.
Police have not given a press conference about Mollie’s investigation in a week. The next scheduled update is on Monday.
