DES MOINES – A street in a south side neighborhood has been blocked off for several days because of a sinkhole.
The sinkhole was reported to city workers on Saturday. It’s in the 3600 block of SW 12th Street in Des Moines. Water Works crews were out on Memorial Day and on Tuesday morning repairing the hole. Parts of the street are still not open to drivers.
