WEBSTER CO.- Officials have identified the man found dead in a field outside of Fort Dodge.
Investigators say 51-year-old Donald Edward Preston, of Fort Dodge, dead in a field southwest of Fort Dodge.
An autopsy performed at the state medical examiners office determined Preston was shot to death.
The Iowa Department of Public Safety’s (DPS) Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) is assisting with the investigation.
Preston had not been reported missing and was last seen by family members on December 22nd in Fort Dodge. The investigation is on-going and anyone with information regarding this case is asked to contact the Webster County Sherriff’s Office or Webster County Crime Stoppers information listed below.
