JOHNSTON, Iowa — Johnston High School basketball player and Iowa State Cyclone commit Aili Tanke is shooting for the stars.
Tanke scored 25 points in under a minute, taking home first place in the national 2024 State Farm College 3-Point Championship on Sunday. That's 19 of her 25 shots in the net — a 76% success rate.
She'll join the Cyclones in Ames in the 2024-25 season after a notable high school career that earned her the title of 2023-24 Iowa MaxPreps High School Girls Basketball Player of the Year.
