2024 ESPYS: Caitlin Clark earns 3 nominations

Watch the 2024 ESPYS on July 11 at 7 p.m. on ABC.

LOS ANGELES — Pretend to be shocked: Caitlin Clark is up for not one, not two, but three ESPY Awards.

The Iowa Hawkeyes basketball phenom and Indiana Fever rookie is nominated in three categories

  • Best Athlete, Women's Sports
  • Best Record-Breaking Performance
  • Best College Athlete, Women's Sports

The nominations come on the heels of Clark's historic final year at Iowa. During that time, Clark became the all-time NCAA Division I scoring leader, broke Iowa's single-game scoring record, won her second consecutive Wooden Award and Sullivan Award and played in her second straight National Championship.

It doesn't seem like Clark is slowing down anytime soon. After being the first pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, Clark was recently named WNBA Rookie of the Month for May. In addition, Clark is almost leading the WNBA All-Star fan vote, trailing Las Vegas Aces star A'ja Wilson.

Clark is the most-nominated athlete this year out of all ESPYS nominees. Other top nominees include Simone Biles, Jaylen Brown, Coco Gauff, Patrick Mahomes and Shohei Ohtani.

Fans can vote here for each award. Voting is open now through Thursday, July 11 at 6 p.m. CT. Watch the 2024 ESPYS on July 11 at 7 p.m. CT on ABC.
