ORLANDO, Fla. — The Iowa Hawkeyes will ring in the new year down south.
The Cheez-It Citrus Bowl announced Sunday that the Hawkeyes will play the Tennessee Volunteers in the 78th iteration of its SEC-Big Ten face-off come New Year's Day.
The Hawkeyes, 10-3, finished their conference play on Saturday with a 26-0 loss to Michigan for the Big Ten title. Now, they prepare to play unranked Tennessee (8-4) as the finisher for the 2023 season.
Last year's Cheez-It Citrus Bowl saw LSU trample Purdue 63-7.
