DES MOINES, Iowa — Griffith is the favorite at 170 pounds in 3A again this year. Thursday he got things started off on the right foot today with a major decision in his opening round matchup. He came close to a pin a couple of times. Griffith obviously would have loved to get that but he’ll take the win.
