NEWTON, Iowa — Start your engines! The Hy-Vee INDYCAR Race Weekend returns to the Iowa Speedway in Newton Friday through Sunday.
Known as the "Fastest Short Track on the Planet", the Iowa Speedway will host drivers including Alex Palou, Pato O'Ward, Will Power and more.
In addition to high speed racing, fans can see artists including Luke Combs, Eric Church, Kelsea Ballerini and Post Malone perform in between and after the races.

INDYCAR Race Weekend tickets
Originally, tickets for Hy-Vee INDYCAR Race Weekend were listed as starting at $95 and $80 for Saturday and Sunday respectively. However, Ticketmaster listings as of Thursday morning provide a more accurate perspective.

Concerts are included in the price of your ticket.
A heat wave is approaching the Midwest as we move toward the weekend. The Local 5 Weather Team anticipates temperatures pushing into the low 90s on Saturday and mid 90s on Sunday. The heat index is likely to exceed 100 degrees. Make sure to wear plenty of sunscreen and bring an empty reusable water bottle to refill throughout the day.

Bag policy
Fans can bring a maximum of two bags per person, including backpacks, diaper bags, clutch bags and fanny packs. Bags should not exceed 18"x18"x14". Attendees can also bring one soft-sided cooler no larger than 14"x14"x14". Foam coolers and hard-sided coolers are not permitted.
Be prepared for hot or inclement weather: The Iowa Speedway allows fans to bring sunscreen, umbrellas and sealed water bottles or reusable water bottles less than 64 oz.

Parking
Free parking is available in several lots around the venue. Plan to enter off the I-80 exit if you're using one of the free parking lots.
Parking is available for purchase in the Fenceline Lot or Lot N. One-day parking passes start at $60 for Lot N and $50 for the Fenceline Lot. Limited parking is available in these lots, so fans are encouraged to purchase passes in advance.
