Celebs attend, weigh in on Iowa vs. LSU game

Thought you saw Jason Sudeikis in the crowd? Plenty of notable names were watching the Elite Eight game. Here's what they're saying.

ALBANY, N.Y. β€” Iowa women's basketball is headed back to the Final Four after a high-scoring 94-87 win over LSU on Monday night.

The Hawkeyes' victory was watched by countless fans across the nation, ready to see star athletes Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese face off on the court once again.

But small-town Iowans and sports bar enthusiasts are far from alone β€” some notable names tuned in, too.

Here's what celebrities are saying about the game.

Jason Sudeikis

The "Ted Lasso" star shook his head in front of his face, an iconic John Cena-ism that Caitlin Clark co-opted during Iowa's run for the NCAA championship back in 2023.

The "You Can't See Me" gesture from Clark earned praise from John Cena himself and sparked debate after LSU's Angel Reese did the same motion back to her in the 2023 women's championship game β€” a battle the Hawkeyes ultimately lost.

Travis Scott

"Astroworld" artist Travis Scott shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, that he was at the edge of his seat during the Monday game.

Scott was also in attendance in Carver-Hawkeye Arena in early March to watch Clark break the all-time Division 1 basketball scoring record.

Dez Bryant

Former NFL wide receiver Dez Bryant called the rematch an "instant classic".

Matt Leinart

Former college and NFL quarterback Matt Leinart shared his support for No. 22 with a not-so-flattering fit check:

Caleb Williams

Williams, another star athlete and likely No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, referenced Clark's renowned shooting skills.
