IOWA CITY, Iowa — Caitlin Clark and the No. 4 Iowa women's basketball team take on the Michigan Wolverines on Thursday night with history on the line.
The West Des Moines native Clark was eight points away from passing Kelsey Plum heading into the game. She quickly set the record with a 3-pointer at the 7:48 mark of the first quarter.
She finished the first half with 28 points and 8 assists.
Plum herself inadvertently posted a congratulatory tweet on Feb. 11, the day the Hawkeyes were upset by Nebraska 82-79 and the record was left intact for another game.
"My bad next game," Plum quickly responded.
Average ticket prices for the game at Carver-Hawkeye Arena approached $400. But how can you watch the game if you aren't attending in person?
What channel is the Iowa vs. Michigan game on?
Tipoff Thursday is at 7 p.m., with the game airing exclusively on Peacock, the NBC-owned streaming service.
This is not the first — and won't be the last — Iowa women's basketball game to be on the platform. The team's Jan. 10 game against Purdue and Jan. 16 matchup with Wisconsin were also on Peacock.
The Hawkeyes' games against Indiana (Feb. 22) and Minnesota (Feb. 28) are also scheduled to stream on Peacock.
Does Peacock offer free trials?
No free trial offers are listed on Peacock's website, with the "Premium" plan coming in at $5.99 a month and the "Premium Plus" subscription at $11.99 a month.
"We do not provide any free trials of any kind," Peacock confirmed to Local 5.
Peacock does say you can "cancel at any time" after initially subscribing.
TechRadar reports the service only offered a free trial in late 2021. Digital Trends also notes that Peacock does not currently offer free trials.
