IOWA CITY, Iowa — Iowa women's basketball stays undefeated on the season and improves to 3-0 after defeating Toledo 94-57 at Carver-Hawkeye Arena Wednesday night.
The Hawkeyes were led by junior forward Hannah Stuelke's 17 points and nine rebounds, which had her just short of a double-double. She was also perfect from the foul line, going 9-of-9. The game is her 39th with double-digit scoring which places her at fifth all-time in program history.
Senior guard Lucy Olsen, who transferred from Villanova, added 14 points of her own as she went 6-of-9 from the field while tallying four assists.
A theme that has been consistent so far this season has been how well the team can score together, and that continued as five Hawkeyes finished with double-digit scoring.
Senior Addison O'Grady, who started at center against the Toledos, continues to be extremely efficient with her time on the court. She leads the nation with 85% shooting from the field with a minimum of 15 shots taken this season. After winning Wednesday night, she is 17-for-20 on the season.
Junior guard Taylor McCabe would lead the team in 3-pointers made after coming off the bench, and she finished with 4-of-8 from the arc. The Hawk's bench stepped up and delivered 37 total points.
In her first start of the season, senior guard Sydney Affolter grabbed 11 points, five rebounds and four assists.
Free-throws stood out on the stat sheet for the Hawkeyes as they finished 28-of-32 from foul line as a team.
Next up for Iowa is the Drake Bulldogs, who they play Sunday at 2 p.m. in Drake's Knapp Center. The game can be watched on ESPN+.
