ALBANY, N.Y. — Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes are chasing a second chance at a national championship, but there are still a few hoops to jump through.
The 1-seed Iowa women's basketball team will face 5-seed Colorado in the Albany 2 Regional semifinal this weekend.
It's the second time in two years the Hawkeyes have faced Colarado in the Sweet 16. Last year, Iowa defeated the Buffs 87-77 to advance in the 2023 NCAA Tournament. Now, the Hawkeyes must topple the Buffs yet again, with another trip to the Elite Eight on the line.
Earlier this week, Clark led the Hawkeyes to victory over No. 8 West Virginia, scoring 32 points. Sydney Affolter and Hannah Stuelke added 13 and 12 points respectively.
Meanwhile, Colorado upset No. 4 Kansas State on Sunday, 63-50.
When do the Iowa women play in the Sweet 16?
The Hawkeyes have a brief break between games before hitting the ground running in Albany.
The Iowa women will play No. 5 Colorado in the Albany 2 Regional semifinal on Saturday, March 30 at 2:30 p.m. The game comes five days after the Hawkeyes defeated West Virginia.
The game will take place at MVP Arena in Albany.
