OMAHA, Neb. — Both Iowa State and Drake are headed to Omaha in the East Regional of the 2024 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament.
Iowa State won the Big 12 Tournament and earned themselves a 2-seed for the first time since the 2000-01 season. The Cyclones will play T.J. Otzeleberger's former team, South Dakota State. The Jackrabbits won the Summit League and earned a 15-seed.
Drake won the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament for the second season in a row and earned a 10-seed their highest seed since 2008. The Bulldogs will face the 7-seed seed Washington State on Thursday night at 9:05 p.m.
If both Iowa State and Drake win, they will meet in Omaha on Saturday for a spot in the Sweet 16.
