INDIANAPOLIS — One of the key figures in the dominant Indianapolis Colts offense during the 2000s was honored by the team on Sunday.
Tight end Dallas Clark was inducted into the Colts Ring of Honor in front of thousands of fans during halftime of the team's 16-10 win over the Miami Dolphins.
"It doesn't get much better," Clark said in a press conference after the ceremony. "What it represents, what it means, it's just special."
Clark mentioned his appreciation for his former teammates during his speech and how much it meant to him for them to attend his ceremony given their busy schedules. In attendance for Clark's ceremony was Peyton Manning, Marvin Harrison, Edgerrin James, Jeff Saturday, Bill Brooks, Reggie Wayne, Dwight Freeney, Robert Mathis and former general manager Bill Polian.
During his career with the Colts, Clark made 427 receptions, totaled 4,887 receiving yards and caught 46 touchdown passes. He was also part of the 2007 Super Bowl-winning team.
