DETROIT — Iowa State cornerback T.J. Tampa is a Baltimore Raven.
The Ravens selected Tampa No. 130 overall (Round 4, Pick 30) on Saturday in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Local 5 Sports Director Reina Garcia spoke with Locked On NFL Draft podcast co-host and senior NFL draft analyst for the Draft Network Keith Sanchez about Tampa's potential in the league.
"He's a physical guy, a guy that can play multiple positions, right. [He] appears to be a pretty good athlete, and then when you cut on the film, this is a guy in zone defense that will do really well," Sanchez said.
At the 2024 NFL Draft Combine, Tampa racked up a production score of 71, athleticism of 61 and total score of 72.
"Welcome to the flock!" tight end Charlie Kolar, who is reunited with Tampa in Baltimore, wrote on social media.
