AMES, Iowa — The Iowa High School Girls State Soccer Tournament will have a different home starting in 2025.
After previously being held in Des Moines, the tournament will be moving to Ames next year.
An agreement between the IGHSAU, Discover Ames and Iowa State's department of intercollegiate athletics will keep the tournament there through 2027 with an option to extend the partnership for future years.
The quarterfinals and semifinals will be played at Lied Recreation Athletic Center and the Maple/Willow/Larch fields. The championship games for all classes will take place at the Cyclone Sports Complex.
The 2025 state tournament is slated for June 2-7.
