Caitlin Clark reportedly not joining Unrivaled league, sources say

However, current and previous teammates of Clark will hit the hardwood for the inaugural year of the league.

INDIANAPOLIS — As the Unrivaled 3-on-3 women's basketball league draft has passed, reports have surfaced that WNBA Rookie of the Year Caitlin Clark will not be joining.

ESPN Senior Writer Michael Voepel said a source familiar with the situation told ESPN Wednesday.

Earlier on Wednesday, the Unrivaled league draft took place with many of Clark's current and former teammates joining up with teams.

Clark's current Fever teammates Lexie Hull and Aliyah Boston found themselves on the rosters of Team Rose and Team Vinyl respectively.

Kate Martin of the Las Vegas Aces, who played with Clark at Iowa, ended up on the Team Laces roster.

While Clark wont be competing on the hardwood for at least a little while, she has stayed busy in the WNBA offseason playing in an LPGA pro-am golf tournament and plans to speak at various events.

The Unrivaled league will begin its inaugural year in Miami with games starting Jan. 17, but for now Caitlin Clark will take a rest from basketball.

Unrivaled games will be televised three times a week with Monday and Friday games televised on TNT, and Saturday games on truTV.
