No injuries reported after multiple crashes clog I-35 near Ankeny, Iowa State Patrol says

A jack-knifed semi and a multi-vehicle crash caused traffic trouble near Ankeny early Wednesday morning.

ANKENY, Iowa — Multiple crashes shut down parts of I-35 in Ankeny on Wednesday morning. 

Crews diverted southbound vehicles from the highway following a multi-vehicle crash between 36th Street and Exit 92 for Ankeny. According to Iowa 511, the crash caused a three minute delay for drivers in the area, as of 7 am..

A little further south, a jack-knifed semi truck has shut down all southbound lanes of I-35 near Corporate Woods Drive in Ankeny, leading to a predicted 18 minute delay for drivers early Wednesday. 

"ISP and PCSO assisted and there were no injuries.  Sounds like it was  mess, but everything is cleared and running smoothly again," Ankeny police Sgt. Corey Schneden told Local 5.
