DMPD: Expect traffic delays near Water Works Park for Knotfest in Des Moines

Officers say Fleur Drive, George Flagg Parkway and Park Avenue are impacted the most.

DES MOINES, Iowa — With Knotfest underway in Des Moines, police are warning of traffic delays on roads near Water Works Park, as Slipknot brings its 25th anniversary tour to the Lauridsen Amphitheater.

Des Moines police said significant traffic delays are being reported on Fleur Drive, George Flagg Parkway and Park Avenue.

Officers say delays are expected through the duration of the event, which ends at 11 p.m. Saturday.

Officials say nearly 200 first responders, including 20 Des Moines police officers, are on site to help with traffic, medical emergencies and security.
