Iowa State Patrol: 1 dead after Monday morning crash in Carroll

A woman was driving west on Highway 30, just east of Griffith Road, when her car struck another vehicle on its rear passenger side.

CARROLL, Iowa — One person is dead following a crash on Highway 30 in Carroll Monday morning, according to an Iowa State Patrol crash report

56-year-old Lisa Feilmeier of Glidden was driving west on Highway 30, just east of Griffith Road, when her car struck another vehicle on its rear passenger side around 6 a.m. Monday. Feilmeier's car came to rest on its top in a nearby ditch. Both cars were initially traveling in the inside lane. 

Feilmeier died of injuries sustained in the crash. She was not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident, the report states.

The driver of the second vehicle is uninjured.
