ELLSWORTH, Iowa — A man has died after the car he was riding in slipped on the "slick" interstate road and rolled off Interstate 35 near Ellsworth, the Iowa State Patrol said.
42-year-old Jose Roger Rivera Vasquez of Kansas City, Mo. was riding in the back seat of a car around 5:20 p.m. Tuesday when the vehicle "lost control due to slick surface" and rolled into the east ditch off of northbound I-35, a crash report states.
Rivera Vasquez was pronounced dead at the scene. No injures were reported for the driver.
