URBANDALE, Iowa — The new flyover ramp at I-35/80 onto Highway 141, known as the Urban Loop, will now take traffic up and over the interstate.
People going to grimes will have a safer driver, and those traveling to Urbandale will have access to the freeway at a new interchange along Meredith Drive.
"Just over here it gets very congested with the lights and all of the traffic," said Autumn Morrison. "People who need to get on the interstate have to go around. Yes, [it's a] very good thing."
The project began three years ago and cost $65 million dollars to complete.
