WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — A crash of unknown severity led to a significant traffic delay on eastbound I-235 in West Des Moines Tuesday night.
According to Iowa 511, I-235 eastbound near Valley West Drive experienced close to a 20 minute delay after a crash occurred at approximately to 5:30 p.m.
West Des Moines police estimate two or three vehicles were involved and said at least one person has been transported by medics.
Traffic was being directed around the crash on the left shoulder of the eastbound lanes.
The roadway has been reported as clear.
