WAYNE COUNTY, Iowa — Iowa State Patrol reported that a Missouri driver was airlifted to a Des Moines hospital Friday morning following a single-car crash in Lineville.
The crash occurred at 204 Birch St. around 7 a.m.
After running a stop sign, at the intersection of Birch Street and Highway 65, the 22-year-old driver soon lost control and drove into a ditch, flipping their car. During which, the driver was ejected from the vehicle.
Leslie Jennings, of New Hampton, Missouri, was airlifted to MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines with injuries sustained from the crash.
Jennings was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, according to the Iowa State Patrol.
