DES MOINES, Iowa — A Winterset man is dead after losing control and crashing on Sunday evening, according to an Iowa State Patrol crash report.
41-year-old David Blair of Winterset, Iowa, was headed south on Upland Avenue around 7:50 p.m. on Sunday when he lost control on a curve near 230th Street, causing the cargo truck to roll over.
The crash report claims Blair was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. He died on the scene.
Madison County and St. Charles response crews assisted Iowa State Patrol.
