ODEBOLT, Iowa — One person is dead following a single-vehicle accident near Odebolt, according to the Sac County Sheriff's Office.
Officials responded to the accident north of 360th Street on Cory Avenue around 5:30 a.m. Saturday. When they arrived, first responders found a semi-tractor in a field near the west ditch.
29-year-old Bryan Jeff Pubien of Omaha, Neb. was found dead inside the semi-tractor.
Officials believe Pubien was driving north on Cory Avenue when he crossed 360th Street and lost control on the gravel road. The semi-tractor rolled several times before coming to rest in the field, pinning Pubien inside the cab, the sheriff's office said.
Pubien was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
GPS data from the semi-tractor shows the accident occurred just before 2:40 a.m., almost three hours before first responders arrived on scene.
Pubien has been taken to the State Medical Examiner's Office for autopsy.
