Sheriff's office: Crash in Bondurant leaves motorcyclist in critical condition

The motorcyclist, who was found unconscious on the street, was transported to the hospital in "critical condition."

BONDURANT, Iowa — The Polk County Sheriff's Office reported Wednesday that it was responding to an afternoon crash in Bondurant that left a male motorcycle rider in critical condition following a collision with a pickup.

Sheriff's deputies responded to the crash at the intersection of Grant Street North and Tailfeather Drive in Bondurant around 2:15 p.m.

On arrival, first responders found the motorcycle rider unconscious and lying in the street. He was quickly transported by ambulance to the hospital, but is said to be in "critical condition."

The sheriff's office has asked drivers to avoid the area while investigation of the crash continues.
