POWESHIEK COUNTY, Iowa — A man has died in a Poweshiek county crash, according to an Iowa State Patrol crash report.
Around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, 52-year-old Christopher Hudnut of Logan, Iowa was driving west on Highway 85 in a dump truck that had been loaded with gravel. While Hudnut was driving, the truck suffered a "tire failure", causing him to love control and drive into a ditch, ISP said.
Hudnut was ejected from the vehicle and later died from his injuries.
He was then transfered to the Holland-Coble Funeral Home.
Hudnut was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
