1 dead after multi-vehicle crash in State Center, Marshall County Sheriff's office says

The two other drivers were uninjured.

STATE CENTER, Iowa — One person is dead following a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 30 in State Center, according to the Marshall County Sheriff's Department.

Marshall County Communications Center received reports of a crash on Highway 30 at the intersection of Durham Avenue around 8:40 a.m. on Thursday. 

When they arrived, deputies found three vehicles that were involved in the crash. Investigators believe 43-year-old Bruce York was traveling east and attempting to turn left when his car was struck by a vehicle heading west. 

York was pronounced dead at the scene. The other two drivers were uninjured. 

Iowa State Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
