URBANDALE, Iowa — A multi-vehicle crash on westbound Interstate 80 is causing significant delays Friday afternoon.
The crash is located near Exit 126 at Douglas Avenue in Urbandale. Iowa 511 reports commuters on I-80 westbound can expect a 12-minute delay as of 5 p.m.
Urbandale police told Local 5 one semi-truck and four cars were involved in the crash. Three non life-threatening injuries were reported.
Officials are asking drivers to move into the outside lane and take the exit onto Douglas Avenue. Iowa DOT is sending maintenance crews to the scene to clean debris off the roadway.
Local 5 has reached out to Iowa State Patrol for more information but has yet to hear back.
