One person is dead following a one-vehicle crash in Nevada, according to the Nevada Public Safety Department.
Officers responded to reports of a one-vehicle accident near the intersection of U.S. 30 and 6th Street around 1:40 p.m. Monday.
The Nevada Public Safety Department says a white van was originally traveling east on U.S. 30 when the driver lost control and crossed into the median, striking the south side of the bridge over Indian Creek.
The driver, 60-year-old Donald Edward Borcherding, of Ankeny, was declared dead at the scene.
An autopsy will be performed at the State Medical Examiner's Office.
