Wrong-way driver dies following early morning crash, Marshall County Sheriff's Office says

Officials say calls started coming in about a wrong-way driver on Highway 330 at approximately 6:59 a.m. About one minute later, the driver was involved in a crash.

MARSHALL COUNTY, Iowa — The Marshall County Sheriff's Office says a driver has died after going the wrong way down the highway early Thursday morning.

Officials say calls started coming in about a wrong-way driver in the northbound lanes of Highway 330 at approximately 6:59 a.m. on Thursday. Just one minute later, at 7 a.m., there were reports of a crash near mile marker 18.

The wrong-way driver, identified by the Iowa State Patrol as 59-year-old Jennifer Robb of Marshalltown, was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other driver involved was uninjured. 

Iowa State Patrol, along with Iowa DOT, Marshalltown Fire Department and more assisted the Marshall County Sheriff's Office with the crash response.
