DES MOINES, Iowa — If you're thinking of flying out of Des Moines International Airport (DSM) next spring, your options are about to expand.
Southwest Airlines announced it will offer nonstop seasonal service to Orlando, Florida (MCO) starting April 15, 2023.
The seasonal flights will operate through June 3, 2023. Nonstop flights are only available on Saturdays during that period of time.
According to Southwest's low fare calendar, most tickets for next spring and summer are around $200.
This isn't the first airline at Des Moines International Airport to offer a flight to Orlando: Allegiant Airlines has direct flights from DSM to Orlando's second airport (SFB).
Southwest also announced two other seasonal routes out of Denver Thursday, including nonstop routes to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Bellingham, Washington.
