Winter weather is back in central Iowa, and cities in the metro have issued snow ordinances and parking bans.

Blizzard Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories remain in effect for the entire region until 6 p.m. Friday.

Winds will remain blustery in central and especially western Iowa Friday. Gusts up to 50 mph can be expected through the afternoon in western Iowa. This will create blowing snow and low visibility for travelers.

Travel won't be nearly as bad in eastern Iowa due to lighter winds.
