DMPD and other emergency services are responding to Wednesday evening severe weather damage in the metro

MidAmerican reported more than 11,000 Des Moines customers did not have power.

DES MOINES, Iowa — Des Moines police announced that it was reporting to over two dozen calls concerning weather-related damage Wednesday evening.

The damage includes wires, trees or poles down.

No injuries have been reported, but MidAmerican Energy has reported more than 11,000 Des Moines customers lost power.
