IOWA, USA — Steady rainfall hit central overnight Tuesday into Wednesday, with several cities reporting more than 1" of rain and some radar estimates as high as 1-3" across southern Iowa.
Scattered storms produced all types of severe weather, but mostly they were creating dozens of funnel clouds and a few of those did reach the ground to become actual tornadoes.
Thankfully, they were small and brief, so there was no damage reported. There was a brief touchdown west of Newton and also in northeast Madison County.
