How much rain fell in Iowa overnight? Here are the top totals

Some pockets in southwest Iowa had higher rain totals, as much as a reported 4.5" north of Creston.

IOWA, USA — Several rounds of rain passed through central Iowa giving much of the area at least a quarter of an inch of rain in the last 48 hours. 

Some pockets, especially off to the southwest, were higher. As much as 4.5” was reported north of Creston.

Here are some 48-hour rain totals as of 9 a.m. Thursday:

  • Ankeny: 0.69”
