Severe weather watches, warnings, updates | Saturday, April 27

Following Friday's outbreak of tornadoes across the state, there's still some potential severe weather to keep an eye on.

DES MOINES, Iowa — Severe weather continues in Iowa on Saturday, with high winds, hail and potential storms as possibilities across the southern half of the state.

The Local 5 Weather Team forecasts the inclement weather will continue over the next two days, with bursts of showers and thunderstorms predicted through Sunday night. Friday night's storms included at least ten tornadoes, according to the National Weather Service

Watches and Warnings

A tornado watch has been issued for parts of Iowa, Kansas and Missouri until 9 p.m. 

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect for the following areas: 

  • Oskaloosa (6:45 p.m.)
  • Pella (6:45 p.m.)
  • Knoxville (6:45 p.m.)
