Totals of heavy rain received July 2

Flash flood warnings and tornado watches were in effect during the storms Tuesday evening.

IOWA, USA — Tuesday evening was an active weather night as rain made its way across central Iowa. Flash flood warnings and even some tornado warnings went into effect as a result.

High levels of rain fell, especially in Warren and Marion counties, which saw 4-5" in some spots. Scattered showers and a few storms are also in the forecast for the Fourth of July.
